Pittsburgh +165 over Los Angeles

Crypto.com Arena – Los Angeles, CA

10:30 PM ET. OT included. The Kings are -190 chalk tonight because… why exactly? They’ve won once in four tries, they’re taking bad penalties, and they can’t get a save. Yet here they are, priced like a contender hosting a bottom feeder. That’s market perception over market reality.

Pittsburgh has dropped two straight, yes, but both games were coin flips that turned on special teams. They led 2-0 in Anaheim before a few soft penalties flipped momentum. Tristan Jarry wasn’t great, yet the Penguins still outplayed the Ducks at five-on-five. This team is far from broken — they’re creating chances, controlling play early, and still have elite top-end skill that can break open a game at any time.

The Kings, meanwhile, are the opposite. They’ve been out of sync, taking dumb penalties, and living off late pushes to make their box scores look respectable. They erased a three-goal deficit in Minnesota only to lose anyway, their fourth game in a row allowing three or more. Jim Hiller’s trying to talk about “positives” — but positives don’t cash tickets. When your goalie (Darcy Kuemper) has an .868 save percentage and your penalty kill is getting shredded, you’re a team to fade until further notice.

The Penguins aren’t world-beaters, but they’re competent, and at this inflated price, we don’t need them to be much more than that. They’ve already beaten this team twice last season, including in this very building. They have the more dangerous top six, a Hall-of-Fame core that still cares, and the motivation to stop the bleeding before this road trip goes sideways.

Take advantage of BET365's early MLB payout offer!

For straight bets, if the team you back to win goes 5 runs ahead at any stage during the game, BET365 will pay out your bet in full regardless of whether the opposition comes back to win the game.

For parlays and Same Game Parlays, if a team you have backed goes 5 runs ahead, this selection will be marked as won within My Bets, with the remaining selections left to run.

Here is a wager we were paid out early on that would eventually lose.
