8:10 PM EST. OT included. This might be the most absurd NHL betting line of the year. Win, lose or get blown out, Seattle must be bet here based strictly on value alone. On Dallas’ best day and Seattle’s worst, this game is a 50/50 proposition but oddsmakers are offering up nearly 2-1 on the better team in this series. No matter how you break it down, Seattle has done everything better than Dallas in this series, including out-chancing them, outshooting them and out-scoring them.

Speedy and efficient, Seattle has outscored the Stars 25-24 in the six playoff games just like it outscored Dallas during the regular season. The goals come from everyone and everywhere, and they arrive in bursts. Jake Oettinger has a 3.98 goals-against average vs. Seattle after being pulled twice, and while the defense has collapsed in front of him — literally at times including Esa Lindell slipping on one occasion Saturday, Oettinger let in soft goals throughout Game 3 and wasn’t exactly great in Game 6. If the goaltending is equal, the Kraken will win this Game 7 showdown because they’re not going to get outplayed or outworked.

It might also be noteworthy to mention that Seattle just won a Game 7 at Colorado, after taming Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar, so there is not a single body on the Stars that is ever going to look too fast or too skilled to the Kraken. If you want to give some credence to home ice advantage, note that home teams have losing records in the playoffs this year. Besides that, Yanni Gourde, Justin Schultz, Vince Dunn and Jaden Schwartz, have won Stanley Cups elsewhere and their presence adds another strong intangible in Seattle’s favor.

It would be a shame to rip up this ticket because the price on Seattle is about as outrageous a price as we have ever seen in this sport. It’s a massive, massive overlay that we hope to capitalize on. +180 (or thereabouts)??!! Get the f**k outta here.
