7:07 PM EST. On January 12th, Ottawa traveled to Arizona to begin a three game trip through Arizona, Colorado and St. Louis. The Sens would return home to play Pittsburgh on Wednesday, January 18th and were then asked to travel to Pittsburgh last night for a rematch against the Pens. Tonight, it’s back home to face the Jets. That’s six game, all with travel since Jan. 12. It’s also the Sens third game in four days and tail-end of back-to-backs after a home and home series with the Penguins. Ottawa is very beatable on its best day. Now, after a tough schedule and in a tough spot, they’ll play a team in a foul mood that is vastly superior to them.

Winnipeg has dropped the first two games of their current five-game road trip. After tonight, it’s onto Philadelphia and Nashville but it is tonight that we’re focused on because losing in Montreal, Toronto and then Ottawa would be somewhat embarrassing considering how beatable both Montreal and Ottawa are. Winnipeg played one of their best games of the season in Toronto on Thursday. They absolutely dominated the Leafs in the first period but the game was tied 0-0 after the first frame. Winnipeg would out-chance the Leafs 30-19 but would lose 4-1. They also out-hustled, outplayed, out-worked and out-everything else but that’s how this game goes sometimes. Hungry, dangerous and with a massive edge in every department, especially in net, Winnipeg is a great value bet here to win in regulation.
