Minnesota -1½ +135 over San Francisco

1:00 PM EST. The Giants have taken the first two games of this series, including a dramatic comeback win last night, coming back from 3-0 to win that game 4-3. The Giants' stock is on the uptick after winning three straight and seven of their last eight games, and they will try to get to .500 for the first time this season with a win tonight.

The Giants will send Anthony DeSclafani (RHP - SF) to the mound today to try and keep the momentum going. DeSclafani holds a 3-3 record with a 3.09 ERA this season, while his xERA is 3.90. DeSclafani has seen a dip in his strikeout rate this season with 41 K's in 48 innings after posting a near K per inning mark last season. His swing and miss rate is also down from a below average 9.4% in 2022 to a weak 7.9% in 2023.

On the other side of this coin are the Twins, who have struggled to rack up wins, going just 1-5 over their last six games. The Twins will look to get back on track with Joe Ryan (RHP - MIN) taking his 10th turn of the season. Ryan sports a 6-1 record and a stellar 2.25 ERA that is backed up by his xERA of 2.30. Ryan has been locked in, as evidenced by his 10-strikeout performances in two of his last three games. On the season, Ryan has 66 strikeouts in 56.0 innings with just eight walks, while sporting a WHIP of 0.89. Ryan is putting up great numbers, but he is not priced like the ace that he is. This is a "buy low, sell high" situation where the favorite is underpriced. The Twinkies on the run line is the prudent play.
