1:10 PM EST. Brandon Bielak is coming off back-to-back starts where he threw 10 innings while striking out 13 and allowing two runs. He’s now made three starts and comes in with some strong skills that include a 15.4% swing and miss rate. His groundball rate last game was an off-the-charts 78%. Bielak has been bouncing around the Astronauts system the last few years. He’s pitched in relief, he’s started, he’s been up and down but he’s always had good stuff. With several injuries to some of their starters, the door is open for Bielak to lock up a job in the rotation and he’s taking advantage of this opportunity. He’s been very good and it’s not a fluke. He’ll now take on a struggling Brewers offense.

Adrian Houser (RHP - MIL) has made just three starts this year and comes in with a strong 3.07 ERA after 15 innings. Don’t buy that low ERA. Dude has an xERA of 4.44. He also missed about six weeks with an elbow strain last season but his poor skills suggest he felt it for most of the year, as this was worse than just a stats regression. Houser’s elbow injuries are foreboding, or perhaps he's pain-free but regardless, he's established about a 4.50 xERA baseline as the one to expect, not the low-3s he's teased with at times.
