Nashville, meanwhile, still carries the stink of its early-season struggles. That’s exactly how value shows up. The Predators are quietly playing their best hockey of the season, winning three of four and five of seven, capped by back-to-back road-quality wins over Toronto and the Rangers. This isn’t random noise — it’s a team that’s finally skating with purpose and structure.

Minnesota’s 5-1 loss to Colorado matters more than the market wants to admit. That game exposed cracks in the details, particularly on special teams, something the Wild themselves acknowledged afterward. The timing matters too: this is the final game before the break, at the tail end of a homestand, coming off an emotionally deflating loss. Spots like this are where favorites underperform expectations, especially against an opponent that’s trending upward and playing with urgency.

Goaltending is where this price really gets out of line. Juuse Saros has been excellent against Minnesota over a meaningful sample, posting a 9-3-2 record with a 2.30 GAA and a .926 save percentage. That’s not a small footnote — that’s a matchup edge. Minnesota’s goaltending is strong on paper, but Nashville doesn’t need domination here, just competence and a few timely saves.
