Dallas +165 to win the Series

The Stars were on the brink of going down 3-0 in this series as they headed to overtime in Game 3, but Wyatt Johnston played the hero when he potted the game-winner at the 16:23 mark of the extra frame. We may look back at that moment as the point when this series turned, but regardless, the Stars present tremendous value here to come back and win this series.

Through three games, Dallas has been the better team 5-on-5, as they have dominated the puck possession numbers, have more expected goals, and have posted 55 high-danger scoring chances to Vegas’ 19. The Stars outshot the Knights 46-34 in Game 3, 26-21 in Game 2, and 29-15 in Game 3. The Stars have skated circles around the Knights thus far, and they are likely going to get their chances again tonight.

Despite losing the first two games at home and going to overtime in Game 3 in Vegas, the oddsmakers still made the Stars the chalk tonight in Game 4. While that is no guarantee of a win, it is indicative of the respect the books have for Dallas. One could play the Stars to win Game 4, but we see much more value in them to win the Series at +165 because if the Stars win tonight, they’ll be a significant favorite in Game 5. That said, if the Stars don’t win tonight, we’re still alive with this wager.
