Arizona +125 over Philadelphia

7:07 PM EST. The Flyers have won three straight games out of the break, and therefore, their stock is on the rise. We only need to look at the odds in Philadelphia games to see this, as they went from a +173 underdog at the Panthers to a +114 pooch at home versus the Jets, to a +101 underdog at home v Seattle. Now, Philly is spotting a significant price against an undervalued and under-the-radar Coyotes team.

Arizona has dropped both of their games since returning from the All-Star break, but they were both closely contested efforts, including a 3-2 loss to Vegas and a 5-4 overtime defeat at Nashville. In a results-based business, wins and losses are all that count, but it’s worth noting the ‘Yotes had a two-goal lead in that game versus the Predators with 14 minutes to play in the third period. On the whole, Arizona has lost five in a row going back to before the break, but they dropped four of those games to top-16 teams in Florida (6), Tampa Bay (13), Carolina (5), and Vegas (8).

For the record, the Flyers rank just one spot ahead of the Coyotes in the power rankings at 25th and 26th, respectively, but this line is not reflective of just how close these two teams are in talent. The Flyers have no business being favored in this range against a team like Arizona, but their stock is up, and the ‘Yotes are down. Quite simply, this is a classic “buy low, sell high” situation that cannot be passed up.
