8:07 PM EST. The Stars have been riding high with a lucky horseshoe up their rears. Dallas has six wins over their last eight games and sits atop the Central Division at 37-19-13. Although they are division leaders, the Stars are impostors. Frauds, if you will. Of those six wins in their last ten, two were against the Coyotes and Blackhawks, while another was against another non-playoff team, the Sabres. Meanwhile, the Stars lost to Vancouver (twice). When they played quality outfits like the Oilers and Flames, the Stars lost those games. Do you see a pattern here?

There are not many nights where the Flames are outworked by their opposition. Across their last ten games, only once was Calgary outshot, and that was their 2-1 loss to Toronto back at the beginning of the month. With hockey being the most "luck-driven" sport on the planet, the Flames have only made modest gains despite their quality play, having only won four of their last ten games. The Flames outshot the Coyotes 45-25 but lost 4-3 in overtime. They outshot Anaheim 37-17 but lost 3-1. Perhaps most notably, the Flames outshot the mighty Bruins 57-20, but also lost that game in the extra frame. What can we say? Hockey is a cruel game. That's not going to stop us from playing the true value here and backing the underrated and underpriced Flames on their home ice.
