Hell, San Jose is -1½ +160 tonight over Montreal. The Kraken are -½ +165 on the road in St. Louis. Ottawa is -1½ +180 and Minnesota is -1½ +180 also. A team like Arizona, that is rarely favored to begin with, would be found in the -1½ +250 or more range when they are favored. What this line strongly suggests is that the Blackhawks are sitting ducks tonight.

Chicago is without Patrick Kane. They traded their best defenseman Jake McCabe and center Sam Lafferty for the future so they are minus two more key players. They played in Anaheim last night and will now play minus three key players in the second game of back-to-backs and fifth game since last Tuesday. Furthermore, it is unlikely that a game against the Coyotes will get Chicago’s competitive juices flowing. Chicago will return home to play two of its biggest rivals, Dallas and Nashville on Thursday and Saturday respectively so this game in Arizona is about as meaningless as any game the Blackhawks will or have played over the past decade.
