Anaheim +247 over Buffalo

One thing the Ducks are really good at is losing hockey games but they are coming off a 5-3 win in Columbus (a game they trailed 3-0 in) and they took the Penguins to OT three games ago so at least they’re playing a bit better. They also have recent wins over Dallas and San Jose so in their last eight games, Anaheim is 3-5. That said, this one is so much more about fading the Sabres at this outrageous price.

We’ve played the Sabres quite often in the past couple of months but that’s because they have mostly been an underdog or undervalued, which is not the case here. Buffalo has two wins in their last seven games, which includes losses to Philadelphia and Chicago among others. Over this entire season, Buffalo has a lousy two wins when scoring three goals or less so if they do not score four times, they are in great danger of losing. One of those two wins came against the Islanders last game in OT (3-2) so if we eliminate a fortunate OT win, Buffalo has one win in regulation time this entire season when scoring less than four times. Today, the Sabres are favored like it’s 1999 and Dominik Hasek is in goal. The Sabres cannot be a near 3-1 favorite.
