Ducks +145 over N.Y. Rangers

10:08 PM EST. The Ducks have little to do with this play, but the fact they are outplaying their opposition more often than not of late figures to serve us well. Anaheim has lost six of its last seven overall, but in three of its last five games, the Ducks have been the better team 5-on-5. That does not guarantee the Ducks will dominate the play tonight, but at this price against this overpriced invader, we’ll take a chance.

We faded the Rangers last night and ripped up those tickets, as they knocked off the Kings 5-3. Much of what we wrote yesterday about New York is still true today. They were outplayed (the Kings outshot the Rangers 38-to-25), but the Rags were fortunate to face a goaltender that did not have his best night, while Igor Shesterkin stood on his head. It’s been the Rangers' road to success more nights than not. In their last four games, the Rangers are 3-0-1, but in only one of those games (a 2-1 win at San Jose on Saturday night) were they the better side. The prudent play is to stick with it and fade the Rangers again. Quack, quack.
