4:00 PM EST. OT included. The Senators are on the rise, but they are just a pedestrian 4-3 to start the season. The lack of wins gives us an opportunity to buy low on Ottawa at a price they shouldn't be. The Sens have been playing well, as they rank eighth in puck possession and seventh in expected goals. Ottawa dropped a 4-2 decision to Minnesota on Thursday night, but before that, the Sens were rolling with four straight wins. In two of those games, Ottawa outshot the opposition badly, 44-to-24. 

The Panthers threw everything but the kitchen sink at Carter Hart and the Flyers Thursday night, as Hart made 47 saves on 50 shots. The reason the Panthers lost was because their goaltending is weak. Game in and game out, there is no more luck driven sport than hockey, as the team with the hot goaltender is usually the one to win the game. The Panthers totally outplayed the Flyers on Thursday. It looked like a 60-minute power play. Guess what? It didn’t matter.

This is also a decent situational play, as the Panthers had been on the road with games in Chicago and Philly. Tonight, they take a one game pit stop at home before heading west for games in Arizona, San Jose and Los Angeles. If the Panthers bring their A-game tonight, while they are packing their bags for another road trip, so be it, but this price on the Senators is too sweet to pass up.
