4:25 PM ET. This is a classic Week 18 spot where the market prices the logo and ignores the context. Yes, Philadelphia has dominated this series for years, and yes, they just handled Washington two weeks ago. That history is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the number. The reality is that the Eagles have very little incentive to empty the tank here. They’re locked into at least the No. 3 seed, are openly leaning toward rest mode, and will be turning the offense over to Tanner McKee with a long list of starters on ice. That’s not a criticism — it’s just the reality of a team with January in mind.

Washington, meanwhile, is ugly on paper, but this is a different kind of motivation spot. The Commanders aren’t protecting anything. They’re auditioning. Veterans are chasing bonuses, fringe players are fighting for 2026 roster spots, and the coaching staff is evaluating who belongs when this thing resets. That often produces a far more honest effort than what you get from a playoff team trying to get in and out without damage. Josh Johnson isn’t flashy, but he’s capable of running the offense, avoiding mistakes, and letting effort and variance do the rest.

When one side is managing minutes and the other is playing with nothing to lose, we’re happy to grab plus money and let the game breathe. Philadelphia doesn’t need this one. Washington wants it.
