Yes, the Steelers now know they still need to handle business, but this line is still pricing Pittsburgh as if everything is clean, focused, and linear. It isn’t. This is still a road divisional game in Cleveland, a place the Steelers haven’t won since 2021, and now they walk in with pressure fully ratcheted up instead of eased. Pressure games on the road against a divisional opponent are exactly where inflated favorites get exposed.

Personnel remains the real story. Pittsburgh is without T.J. Watt, the single most disruptive non-quarterback in the division. That alone matters. Then layer in the absence of DK Metcalf, the only receiver who consistently warps coverage. Strip those two out, and suddenly this Steelers team looks far more ordinary, relying on secondary options to move the ball while asking its defense to win without its closer. That’s not a small downgrade — it’s structural.

Cleveland, meanwhile, is playing loose with nothing to lose, which is exactly how underdogs bite. Shedeur Sanders had the Browns in position to beat Buffalo last week, and that wasn’t a fluke — that was a young quarterback playing aggressively without fear. Add in Myles Garrett hunting sacks and momentum at home, and the Browns are live in a game the market is still treating as one-way traffic.
