Kansas City -3 over Tennessee

1:00 PM ET. Your guess is as good as ours, but that uncertainty is exactly why this number is interesting. Kansas City has been officially eliminated and will be finishing the season without Patrick Mahomes, marking the Chiefs’ first playoff miss since 2014. That opens the door to plenty of questions about motivation, effort, and overall direction. Still, this is a veteran locker room playing at home, and there’s value in backing a team that should be embarrassed by how this season unraveled. Gardner Minshew is expected to start the rest of the way, and while the ceiling drops without Mahomes, Minshew’s willingness to push the ball and take chances can at least keep the offense functional against a Titans defense that hasn’t exactly been airtight.

On the other side, Tennessee games have become absolute chaos, and we’re not stepping in front of that trend. Six of the Titans’ last eight games have gone over the total, and nearly every one of them has featured a bizarre swing — a defensive touchdown, a special teams score, or a short-field gift wrapped by turnovers. Cam Ward and the offense have clear limitations, but Tennessee keeps finding points without actually sustaining offense. That volatility cuts both ways, though. With Minshew under center, turnovers are very much in play, and Kansas City’s defense has enough speed and opportunism to flip the script the same way San Francisco and Cleveland learned the hard way. This feels like a sloppy, weird game where one defensive score could decide everything, and laying a short field goal with the home team is the side we’re willing to live with.
