Rams -7½ over Tampa Bay

8:20 PM ET. Tampa walks into this game in the most brutal travel spot imaginable — Buffalo last week, cross-country to LA this week, a roster held together by tape, and a schedule ahead that screams “bigger games are coming.” The Rams, meanwhile, are rolling downhill with momentum and health, two things the Bucs can’t buy right now.

Tampa has dropped three of four, and the losses aren’t fluky. They’re getting pushed around, they’re leaking injuries everywhere, and they’re now staring at a stretch of winnable divisional games. Arizona, New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina (twice) and Miami — six opponents with a combined losing record. If the Bucs want a playoff spot, those are the games that matter. This one? This is the week you go vanilla, rest anyone who’s questionable, and try not to lose bodies before December.

The Rams don’t have that luxury. LA is the fresher, healthier, hungrier team, and the scoreboard doesn’t lie: 5-0 straight-up, 4-1 ATS in their last five. Sure, last week’s win over Seattle came gift-wrapped with four Sam Darnold interceptions, but the Rams did what good teams do — they cashed in the mistakes. Two of their scoring drives were basically walkthroughs (3 yards and 25 yards), yet that’s the point… this defense is creating the chaos that makes life easy on the offense.

Sean McVay hasn’t even had to take the training wheels off. Davante Adams barely saw the ball last week as he works through an oblique issue, but LA didn’t need him. Now another week of healing under his belt, plus Tampa’s secondary at half-strength? That’s a matchup waiting to be exploited the moment McVay decides to press the button.

Tampa enters this one with ten players either on the injury report or IR. The Rams have four. That’s not noise. That’s roster reality. And flying from Buffalo to Los Angeles with a battered lineup is the exact kind of spot where teams get down early, pull key guys late, and simply try to survive. Swallow the points.
