Las Vegas +9 over Kansas City

4:30 PM EST. With Bills/Bengals now canceled, the Chiefs catch a break with home-field reverting back to them by virtue of the best winning percentage, should they win this and/or the currently 12-3 Bills beat the Patriots. Or vice-versa. For the moment, we’ll assume that the owners will approve the scenarios presented by the committee and figure that the Raiders, with nothing to lose, show up and play a decent game for 60 minutes, and the Chiefs show up and play their usual talented but sloppy game that has led to an easy first-place coast in the AFC West.

The Raiders’ were eliminated last week so there is always the possibility that they pull a no show but for sure, QB Jarrett Stidham will not. If the most important player on the field comes in with some fire in his belly, it’s not unreasonable to expect the same from the rest of the bunch. Stidham, who stepped in for the benched Derek Carr, became the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 350 yards and three touchdowns in his starting debut—and he did it against the NFL’s best defense. For what it’s worth, K.C’s pass defense ranks 30th in the NFL.

Let’s not forget that the Raiders held a double-digit lead last week and lost for the fifth time this season when they led by at least 10 points. Rarely are the Raiders not in a game and now they’re taking back inflated points because they have been eliminated and Kansas City is looking to clinch across the board.
