4:00 PM EST. Indianapolis is on its third veteran starting quarterback in three years (thanks, Andrew!), as Matt Ryan takes over for the departed Carson Wentz. There has been much hype around Ryan in Colts’ camp. His accuracy is off the charts and he’s angry and ready to win now. It all sounds good and with coach Frank Reich suggesting his starters would play a full quarter, we can understand the market’s leaning towards the Colts in this game. However, we are not ready to spot road points with Indy, not even in the preseason.

Buffalo is a dog at home and to a man, they’ll know it. These players all know the deal and by “the deal,” we mean the point spread. Preseason, regular season, playoffs, it doesn’t matter, it’s insulting to be a pooch on one’s home field. The Bills surely feel this way, it’s just the way that Sean McDermott’s teams are built.

Buffalo has gone 7-0 in its last two preseason’s, which suggests McDermott is committed to setting a winning tone early. It’s a strategy that has worked for him, as the Bills went 11-6 in 2021 and 13-3 in 2020. We expect Buffalo to continue those winning ways here.
