7:00 PM EST. What the f**K happened to the Huskies? That’s the narrative that’s been pounded into the head of sports bettors ever since the Huskies got whacked in a Friday night prime-time showdown with UCLA on September 30th. From there, the Huskies would cough up a ghastly performance in a follow-up loss against rudderless Arizona State, not to mention all of October and the first week of November in which the Huskies haven’t covered a game. Washington has essentially become the 2022 recreation of the Blair Witch Project. One minute all eyes were on them, the next they were gone.

On the flipside, Oregon has emerged in the spotlight and garnered all sorts of media and market attention. Ever since the Ducks got smoked in their season opener against Georgia, the Ducks have looked like a completely different team. The Quack Attack have since won eight games and they have absolutely obliterated everything they have come across in the process, en route to their present #6 ranking. It doesn’t hurt that the Ducks have covered their last five games compared to the Huskies who have not cashed a ticket in five consecutive outings. This creates a true buy-low, sell-high scenario.

The talking points surrounding Oregon is whether or not it can win the Pac 12 and find itself in the College Football Playoff. This is the time of year where crazy things start to happen and the Ducks are by no means impervious to falling prey to the mayhem. Of course that is just speculation but Oregon, no matter how you break it down, is going to attract a plethora of wagers here because they keep cashing tickets while the Huskies keep ripping them up. For anyone that thinks Oregon cannot lose here, we only need to remind everyone of what befell Washington just over a month ago. In the buildup to their meeting with UCLA, the Huskies were gaining a lot of notoriety and their quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. was being tabbed as a Heisman finalist. Kind of like how right now, Oregon field general Bo Nix is enjoying similar accolades. Then UCLA mangled the Huskie. Now the Huskies get to become the hunter as opposed to the hunted. And while we wouldn’t be surprised if Washington pulled off the upset, we trust there are plenty of points to work with here, not to mention a great opportunity should the backdoor open up.
