The Dawgs of Georgia are desperately trying to make their case for an at-large NCAA Tournament bid, and they have done a decent job after winning seven of their last 10, but they have dropped two of their last three to take a little shine off of that realistic goal. In their loss to Tennessee on January 13th, the Dawgs led for most of that game and nearly knocked off the Volunteers. In their loss to Florida on Saturday, Georgia nearly beat the Gators too but fell by four, 102-98 in overtime.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have won back-to-back games after waffling LSU, 109-88, on Saturday, which came on the heels of their 79-75 win over bitter rivals, then #8 Auburn last Wednesday. The Tide has now won eight of their last nine games and has found its way back into the AP Top 25, where this week they are ranked for the first time since the end of November. Entering the polls will put a target on anyone’s back, and the Tide is no different. Furthermore, entering the polls is a sure-fire way to inflate a team's stock overnight.

The Tide sits atop the SEC at 6-1, and they are 14-6 overall, as is Georgia, but a contrast in market perception has the Dogs taking back a significant pile of inflated points in a game they have a great chance to win. Alabama is a team that has shown some cracks, as it has lost three games by double digits, including a 20-point loss to Tennessee back on January 20th, as well as a 13-point loss to Arizona, and an 11-point loss to Ohio State. Perhaps the Crimson Tide win and cover this number, but you are paying an inflated price to back them on the road. That's a wager we can not recommend.
