The Ramblers of Loyola-Chicago enter tonight at 13-7, with a 5-2 record in the Atlantic 10 (A10), which has them tied with VCU for third place, one game behind Dayton and two games behind Richmond. While the results are serviceable, the argument could be made that the Ramblers should have posted a better record than they did during non-conference play, as they played a weak schedule that ranked just 294 out of 362 graded Division I programs. Sure, the Ramblers played a pair of ranked schools in FAU (#10) and Creighton (#8), but they were beaten by double digits in both of those games. Along the way, Loyola-Chicago's record has been padded with weak wins including those over Eastern Illinois, New Orleans (341), Chicago State (292), Harvard (210), Goshen (Division II), Charleston Southern (325), and Central Michigan (265).

There is a laundry list of reasons not to wager on the Saint Louis Billikens today, as they are not only 0-6 on the road, but they have also already lost to the Ramblers this season in a game that was played on January 3rd (80-73). Furthermore, the Billikens are slogging through a brutal run where they have won just one of their last eight games, and that includes a four-game losing streak. All that losing has caused the Billikens to freefall in the market, and now they are taking back double digits for just the second time in their last 10 games with those two contests coming against #21 ranked Dayton (+12) and a Power Six school in N.C. State (+11½). The Ramblers are not in the same class as those two schools, and for a little more perspective, the Billikens were a -1½-point favorite on the road at Loyola-Chicago in early January. Recent results loom large here, but we are in a prime position to potentially profit. Overlay.
