Kansas State +109 over Michigan State

6:30 PM EST. The Wildcats of Kansas State find themselves in the Sweet 16 after besting Montana State in Round 1 and then beating Kentucky in Round 2. We’re not going to spend a lot of time on the K-State side, as they are clearly the “B-side” here, at least in the market. However, the Wildcats actually rank higher than Michigan State in the KenPom power rankings, and they come into this game ranked #15 in the nation in the AP Top-25, whereas the Spartans are nowhere to be found on that list. To us, it looks like the Wildcats are being disrespected here. How do you think K-State feels?

Michigan State and more specifically, head coach Tom Izzo, are royalty in this tournament. Regardless of seeding, Izzo and his Spartans command respect from the market. The #7 seeding means little here, and the one-way action on this game proves it, as Michigan State opened up as the underdog, but now it is the betting favorite. We really don’t need much more information than that. Sparty will be the biggest liability for the books tonight, thus, as contrarion players, we want to be on the same side of the house. K-State should be favored.
