Indiana State +2½ -108 over Bradley

The weight of one-bid expectations are all on the Braves of Bradley, as they enter this Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) tournament as the top seed after posting a 28-8 (16-4 in the MVC) this season. The Braves’ stock is high after winning nine straight games coming into this conference tournament, and they made it 10 in a row after knocking off Northern Iowa, 76-66, on Wednesday night. Winning 10 games in a row will get one noticed in the market.

By contrast, Indiana State lost their final two games of the regular season, but the #5 seeded Sycamores have come to play in the MVC tourney, knocking off both Evansville (97-58) and Belmont (94-91). However, recent results against the Braves loom large here, as Indiana State lost the only meeting between these two teams in a 78-67 final at home in Terre Haute, with the Braves easily covering the 1½-point spread as an underdog. Now the Sycamores are in the role of the underdog, and they are playing with house money here. That’s a dangerous combination that could lead to the Braves going home early.
