2:00 PM EST. The Horned Frogs of TCU are in a free fall that has seen them drop a season high four straight games. That run includes TCU racking up just one win over its last six games since losing star Mike Miles Jr., who went down with a knee injury. Miles Jr. was the Big 12's conference preseason player of the year, so his loss cannot be understated. In their 70-59 loss to Iowa State last time out, the Horned Frogs were down 15-2 before you could get your popcorn. It was a total implosion that saw TCU go just 6-of-18 from the free throw line, with the Frogs' bench pitching in just 12 points. TCU would close the gap to nine with two minutes to play, but their farfetched comeback was derailed by turnovers on three of their last four possessions.

The Cowboys of Oklahoma State are also coming off a loss, but theirs was to #5 Kansas, so there is little shame in that defeat. Disappointing, yes, but no shame, as Okie State fell, 87-76. That was the Cowboys' second loss in three games, with them also losing a squeaker, 71-68, to Texas Tech. Sandwiched between those defeats was a win over ISU, 64-56, which was a game the Cowboys won outright as a 7-point pooch.

A closer look at ESPN's Bracketology shows that these two teams are closer than market perception would have you believe, as Okie State is pegged as a nine seed while the Frogs are a six seed. If we dip into the analytics, the line that separates TCU and Oklahoma State is even thinner, as the Cowboys are ranked just four spots behind the #25 ranked Frogs. The talking heads would call it a major upset, but we all know better. The Cowboys are priced like they can get a signature win here against a ranked side so we'll put the points in our pocket and see how the chips fall.
