Michigan State -2½ -108 over Rutgers

6:30 PM EST. Rutgers has built a reputation as the “bullies” of the B1G this season, and we aren’t going to deny it is wreaking havoc across the country. The Scarlet Knights are 12-5 and ranked #23 in the nation on the back of their recent wins over then #1 Purdue, Maryland and Ohio State last time out. Those wins along with some big blowouts over significantly lesser competition have Rutgers’ stock inflated. That number beside the Scarlet Knights’ name is a target, too, and one that only further shines up their curb appeal.

We’ve wagered on the Spartans in their last two games, but unfortunately, we ripped up those tickets. However, we will not be deterred from “sticking with it” and coming right back on Tom Izzo’s side again tonight. There is no shame in those two losses to #3 Purdue (by one point), and on the road at Illinois. Incidentally, they covered against Purdue but we had 'em on the money line.

Much like hosting a prime time game in the NFL, it’s a really big deal for a school to be the featured contest in a nationally televised game. We don’t care where you play, whether it’s El Paso or East Lansing. We trust the process, and we trust that those recent results have Sparty’s stock lower than it should be. This is a veteran team that is capable of going shot for shot with the best of them just as Michigan State did against the Boilermakers on Monday night. The Knights might be "bullies," but the Spartans are just as tough and will be ready with their swords sharpened. Michigan State is getting its “signature win” tonight, and it will be an emphatic one.
