2:00 PM EST. This is a significant pile of points for the 49ers to be spotting here, as they’ve been spending way too much time feasting on the fat. Charlotte's 11-5 record on the surface and against the spread (ATS) looks appealing at first glance, but when you consider that its résumé is built on slumming it against weak competition, it loses its shine. The 49ers have played a non-conference strength of schedule that is just 333-of-363 graded schools in the country. If you look at Charlotte’s wins there isn’t a signature victory among them.

The Roadrunners of UTSA are a middling 7-10, and just 6-8-1 ATS. We’re not going to sit here and tell you that the ‘Runners are some great team that is being disrespected, rather, we are going to point out that they are much closer in quality to the 49ers than these inflated points would have you believe. More specifically, the 49ers do not deserve to be priced here like they are some kind of world beater.
