3:00 PM EST. We faded the Penguins in their last game at Detroit Mercy, but we ripped up that ticket after Youngstown downed the Titans, 84-79. That was the Penguins’ third straight win and cover, which has their stock on the uptick. Youngstown now sports a 13-5 record on the season, but it has played some weak competition both in and outside of the Horizon League. The Penguins’ non-conference slate is graded at just 314-or-363 ranked schools, but when you sprinkle in their seven conference contests, that Strength of Schedule drops to 342.

Like the Penguins, the Golden Grizzlies are 5-2 in Horizon League play, but overall they are just 7-11. Well, there is a great reason for that discrepancy, namely, Oakland has played a razor sharp non-conference schedule that ranks 35th in the country. The Golden Grizzlies had a brutal 2-11 start to the season, but now you know why. They played the best schools that would line up against them. That meat grinder has served Oakland well, as they are now battle tested and beating up their conference brothers with regularity. Because of the Golden Grizzlies' poor overall record, we are presented with an opportunity here to get behind the superior squad on their home court. Wrong side favored.
