On the other side, the Orlando Magic played near their ceiling in Game 1, shooting efficiently and controlling stretches of the game, but that’s a tough formula to replicate on the road against an elite defensive team with urgency. Detroit has been dominant in bounce-back situations at home, and the broader playoff trends strongly favor teams in this exact position after dropping Game 1 as a sizable favorite. With expected defensive intensity returning, improved shooting from role players, and a more balanced offensive approach, the Pistons are set up to not only even the series—but do so convincingly.
