Updated NBA Series Wager

Boston +155 to win the series

If you were a fan of the NBA in the '80s and early '90s, you may appreciate the vibes this series has brought. It's been physical, and the crowds are nasty as hell, with the TV cameras picking up enough foul language to garner at least a PG-13 rating.

In Game 5, the 76ers went into the belly of the beast that is "Tha Gahden" and walked out with a 115-103 win and a 3-2 series lead. They say an NBA series doesn't start until the road team wins a game. Well, looks like we've got a series.

There is a ton of pressure on the Sixers to make their first Eastern Conference Finals in over 20 years, but just how heavy those expectations will weigh on them remain to be seen. Perhaps they come out and shoot the lights out and send the Celtics packing. However, the closeout game is often the hardest to win. If the Sixers come out cold, the air is going to be let out of the Wells Fargo Center.

We could spot the points here with the Celtics, but rather than do that, we are going to play the C's to come back and win this series. If Boston wins tonight, it will be a signifigant favorite again at home in Game 7. The Celtics were favored by -10½ (the Sixers were missing Embiid) in Game 1, -7-points in Game 2, and -7½-points in Game 5. The Celtics were a better than 3-1 favorite before this series tipped off, backing them now to complete that task is where the true value lies.
