Cleveland -5½ over Charlotte

7:10 PM EST. When we talk about recency bias, this is a prime example of that. The market always overreacts to what it just saw. In this case, that was the Cavs struggling to cover double digits in the Queen City against these very Hornets 48 hours ago. Moreover, Cleveland has cashed just four tickets in its last 10 games, three of its last four games, and two straight.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have offered up better returns as of late with trips to the pay window in three of their last four games. That includes their home game against the Bucks last time out. That most recent result along with Charlotte’s success Against the Spread has seen its stock uptick. That’s our cue to sell.

This game presents a tremendous opportunity for us to sport deflated points on the road with the far superior Cavaliers, who won but failed to cover in Charlotte when these two teams played Sunday night. The modest 114-108 win must have resonated with the market because not only did the Hornets open at a smaller price today (7½), but they are getting hammered, and are now posted at the price you see now. These are deflated points and we're omn it.
