10:10 PM EST. The Raptors come into this lengthy seven-game Western Conference road trip after losing three of their last four games. It looks bad, and head coach Nick Nurse is making it known that he wants his team to start this trip off on the right foot, “There's a lot of basketball to be played yet. The guys in that room can play it." The losses all might count the same, but those games the Raptors dropped were by just two to Boston (106-104), two to Minnesota (128-126), and eight to the Bucks (130-122). It’s not like Toronto was getting beat up by dregs. The Raps went shot for shot with the C’s and almost won that game. The Raps may have won if not for a questionable call late that went against them. Toronto can hang with anybody. Sacramento included.

It’s all smiles in Sac-Town, as the Kings are one of the hottest teams in the league after a 7-1 run that saw them whack Memphis, 133-100, on Monday night. With all that winning, the hype train is chugging along, and with it being All-Star season, De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis are getting the push from the locals to be in Salt Lake City for that festive weekend. We’re not going to take anything away from the Kings’ waffling of the Grizzlies, but we will point out that the Kings caught Memphis on the heels of a furious comeback that came up short the night prior. The Grizz were running on fumes. As for those other wins along the way, they came against Orlando, Houston (twice), San Antonio, the Lakers, and Oklahoma City. Of that lot, none are above .500

Situationally speaking, this will be Sacramento’s final home game of this current four-game stand, which makes up a run of 15 home games to just four road games, going back to December 19. Those four road games were just a pair of two-game outings After tonight, the Kings will go on a proper seven-game road trip, their first “real” roadie in over a month. You don’t think these guys already have one foot on the team jet? We'll see but Sac's stock is through the roof and that makes them a very decent fade target here.
