The pitching matchup reinforces it. Kai-Wei Teng owns an 8.78 ERA, nearly six walks per nine, a fly-ball lean, and advanced metrics (5.00 FIP, 5.25 SIERA) that confirm what the surface shows. That is not a profile you want laying road juice at altitude.

Colorado turns to Chase Dollander, whose 2-11 record and 6.55 ERA hide the fact that his arsenal plays — fastball touching 98, a 43% ground-ball rate, and strikeout potential that can punish a lineup prone to disappearing altogether. His flaws are obvious, but at Coors, the ability to miss bats and keep the ball on the ground is the right skill set against this opponent.

San Francisco isn’t built for this park, and the Rockies have the right arm and environment to flip the script. Value dictates the play.
