Jameson Taillon (RHP - CHI) is still working his way back from injury, but he appears to be getting stronger after striking out five in his last start against the Reds across 4.2 innings. On the surface, it’s ugly for Taillon, as he's 0-3 with an ERA of 8.04. However, his xERA is significantly lower at 4.47, and he has 32 Ks in his 31.1 innings pitched.

Michael Wacha (RHP - SD) is no ace, but he’s priced like one today when comparing how he stacks up with the likes of Logan Webb, Clayton Kershaw, Corbin Burnes, and others who are superior to him on a loaded slate. Wacha might be 5-1, but it’s only a matter of time before there is a correction to his inflated win total because he does not have the underlying numbers to back up those positive results. His xERA is 4.53, which is more than a run higher than his surface number of 3.45. Wacha’s ground ball rate is down 7% from last season to a puny 34.3% this season. Wacha is a sheep in wolf’s clothing.
