7:05 PM EST. Rich Hill is a 42-year-old lefty that throws 87 MPH on his best day. Over the past 31 days, Hill has thrown seven innings because he was on the DL with a left knee issue. Hill missed all of July and returned on August 3rd, where he would allow six hits and four runs in three innings. In his follow-up game on August 9th, he allowed another four runs on seven hits in four innings, which brings us to this game. Hill’s trends are in decline just about everywhere, as one would expect at his age. Today, Rich Hill is a significant road favorite only because of names and past pedigrees. The price here is way off my friends. 

Keep a very close eye on Roansy Contreras (RHP - PIT). For all you fantasy players in keeper leagues, pick him up and stash him. This undersized talent with stuff and pitchability showed an uptick in everything before a brief demotion in July. The demotion was not because he was pitching poorly but because the Pirates didn’t want to overuse him. He’s already passed up his IP total from 2021 but he has only thrown 50 innings in the majors this year. In said 50 innings, he has 50 K’s with a skills supported 13% swing and miss rate. He emerged in September of last year unscathed, and has been nothing but impressive in AAA and MLB.  Age, and not a lot of  high-minors innings say he needs time but this legit prospect is coming quickly and is absolutely worth a bet today.
