Colorado +110 over Miami

6:40 PM EST. Daniel Castano (LHP - MIA) has appeared in 16 games since his MLB debut back in 2020. 11 of those 16 appearances were of the starting variety but just one of his four appearances this year were starts. Covering 11 innings, Castano has an ERA of 0.00 with an xERA of 4.14. Dude has a weak five K’s in said 11 frames. In his last start, he went 6.2 innings against the Phillies and allowed five hits while walking two and striking out three. Small sample size aside, there is no question that Castano has been fortunate with a 94% strand rate. He puts the ball in play and is heavily reliant on the variances of balls in play.

The market would have a lot more interest in Ryan Feltner (RHP - COL) if he pitched literally anywhere else. He has a 27% K rate, 6% BB in 26.2 innings with one bad home start (3 IP/6 ER v. ATL) spoiling his 4.85 ERA. xERA does not take park factors (Coors Field) into consideration, yet Feltner has an xERA of 3.21. That’s beyond outstanding and it’s legit. He has 29 K’s in 26 frames with seven walks issued to go along with his 50% groundball rate. Take Coors out of the equation and insert a cozy road spot like this and it adds up to one of the best value plays on the board today. Ryan Feltner is a great young pitcher with beautiful stuff. His stock is going to soar at some point so we’ll act accordingly before it does.
