Hamilton over Saskatchewan

7:00 PM EST. Week 1 went very differently for these two teams, but it is those contrasting results that present us with tremendous value today as the 1-0 Roughriders travel to Hamilton to battle the 0-1 Tiger-Cats. Last week, the Riders were a coin flip in Edmonton and won that game 29-21, but that final score does not tell the whole story, as the Elks led Saskatchewan 21-8 with 13:13 to play in that game.

If one were inclined to believe 13 to be an unlucky number, that double shot came out of both barrels with the Roughies scoring 21 points before the final horn sounded to snatch the win away from the Elks. It’s worth noting that the Roughies' defense gave up 336 passing yards. Meanwhile, Riders’ QB Trevor Harris threw a pair of interceptions, and running back A.J. Ouellette coughed the rock up twice, losing one of those fumbles.

Bo Levi Mitchell’s return to Calgary was highly anticipated, and it was a homecoming that many in the media and the market expected to end with a win for the veteran pivot with his new digs in Hamilton. Those best-laid plans went as those plans often do, with the Tiger-Cats dropping a 32-24 decision to the Stampeders. While the final result was disappointing, Hamilton put up 468 yards of total offense with Bo Levi going for 300, while their defense held Stamps QB Jake Maier to 252 passing yards.

Last week, on the road in Calgary, the Tabbies were a +2-point pooch at kickoff, and after that loss, they are now an underdog at home in Week 2 to a Saskatchewan side that was sloppy in Week 1, and that isn’t right. We can’t guarantee a win for the Tabbies, but we do know that there is a big overreaction to last week’s results on both sides of this coin, and we’re not going to pass up the opportunity to back the Ti-Cats as a pooch on their home field in a game they should be favored in.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
