Nashville -105 over Boston

OT included. The Preds have lost two games in a row, giving up a total of 15 goals, eight to the Coyotes last Thursday night and then seven more to the Avalanche in Colorado on Saturday night. Both of those games were wild, with a ton of shots on both sides, but the Preds were done in by a bad night at the office from Jusse Saros versus the ‘Yotes and Kevin Lankinen versus the Avs. A couple of less-than-stellar outings is forgivable considering Nashville just finished an 18-game point streak, so a bounceback from Saros here is not out of the question. Dude has been one of the best in the league for years, and he still brings a 2.83 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage into tonight’s game despite the six-pack of goals that got by him in the desert.

Just what is going to motivate the Bruins today, as the Bruins have clinched a playoff spot and have a high-profile game with the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night in North Carolina. The B’s visit Nashville but once a year, and outside of Vegas, Music City is notoriously the best party town in the NHL. The Bruins have been off for two days, having last played Washington in a 3-2 shootout win, and we can’t say for sure what they’ve been up to, but a trip to Tootsies is not out of the question. Regardless of just what the B’s have been up to, they are a team that is just not as good as their perception in the market. Boston is still riding the coattails of last season's record-setting points total, and they simply should not be favored over the Predators in Nashville.
