OT included. The Flyers played in Arizona last night and dominated for stretches in a 4-3 OT win. Brian Elliott was shaky as hell but he was injured late and that makes room for the superior Michal Neuvirth to take over. The Flyers will play their third game in four nights and tail end of back-to-backs but they’ve won three straight and we can’t imagine that they’ll be flat playing against this team that everyone wants a crack at. Aside from that, the building/atmosphere alone injects energy to all and so does winning. The Flyers are absolutely underpriced here.

The Golden Knights are absolutely an incredible story. Every time you watch or follow them, they are down a goal or two and then you watch or check the score later and they end up winning. Down 5-2 in the third in Pittsburgh two games ago, Vegas rallied to make it 5-4, which ended up as the final score. Down 3-2 in San Jose last game with 12 minutes left, the Knights rallied with three straight goals to win 5-3. Down 2-1 in Calgary with two minutes remaining in the third period in the first game of this just completed road trip, the Knights would score three times to win 4-2. Down 3-2 in the third in Washington with 11 minutes left, Vegas would once again score twice to win, 4-3. There is an old cliché that reads like this, “If you keep playing with fire, you are going to get burned”. These old clichés have been around for a very long time because they’re true. The Knights are good but they are also living a charmed life and will return home from an exhausting trip that started in Calgary on the Canadian West Coast and took them through Winnipeg and Minnesota before two games on the East Coast against Washington and Pittsburgh before another a final game on the West Coast to conclude the trip in San Jose. That’s three different time zones and six cities in 12 days. Also keep in mind that the Knights are very often falling behind early. Should that be the case here, one has the option to buy out and “free roll” and when one is being offered a price like this, it’s not a bad idea to keep your eye on that option and make a decision based on how the Knights are playing. At any rate, if the Red Wings are taking back +150 or so in Washington, how the heck can the Flyers be taking back this price in Vegas? No matter how one breaks it down, Vegas’ stock is through the roof and they’re overpriced while a dangerous team like Philadelphia cannot be taking back prices like this anywhere.
