The Seawolves of Stony Brook sit at 16-13 overall and 9-7 in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), but they are tied with two other teams (Delaware and Monmouth) for sixth in the conference. While the Seawolves aren’t knocking anyone’s socks off, they’ve been competitive in some big games against the top teams in the CAA, losing to conference leaders Charleston (113) by just six and going to overtime with second place UNC Wilmington (107).

The Dragons of Drexel enter this CAA clash at 18-11, and they sit second in the conference at 11-5, tied with UNC Wilmington and Hofstra with all three teams trailing first-place Charleston by two games. The Dragons have won 11 straight at home, and they are coming off a win over bitter rival Delaware on Monday night in a game that was played in front of a packed house of 3,390 in Newark, DE. The Dragons would go down double digits early in that game, but would claw back and actually win by a 10-point margin, 70-60.

Situationally speaking, this is a tough spot for the Dragons as they just played in that huge rivalry game on Monday night, and then they turn around after tonight to play Northeastern at home on Saturday. The Seawolves are an easy team to sleep on coming in as such a significant underdog, and they catch Drexel in a potential letdown spot after the big win over rival Delaware, with the Dragons also potentially looking ahead to their third game of the week on Saturday afternoon. There are more than enough boxes checked here to warrant a wager.
