The Cajuns are 13-1, which gives them a full three-game lead over Georgia State for tops in the conference. Although there are still three games to play, ULL is done with the Panthers for now, and it will play two of its last three games against the weakest teams in the Sun Belt. All things considered, the Ragin' Cajuns work here in the regular season is done. There will not be more than one team from the Sun Belt going to the big dance, so a successful run through the conference tournament is this squads’ number one goal.

The Trojans are 7-7, but still have to put their working boots on if they want to secure a first-round bye in the conference tournament. Troy is tied with both Southern Alabama and Monroe for fourth place, while Georgia Southern is third at 8-6, so there are really two spots up for grabs. Three schools trail the 7-7 squads at 7-8, so it's going to be a tough fight to the finish, as more than half the conference still has a shot at a bye. The Trojans are coming off a 65-54 loss at the hands of App State, but that defeat came on the heels of a four-game win streak that included three in a row at home. The Trojans have already dropped a double-digit decision to these Cajuns a few weeks ago in Lafayette, but the circumstances were much different then, as ULL still had much to play for. With the Cajuns coasting, this one is the Trojans to lose.
