7:00 PM EST. Wake Forest has been high on our radar as an undervalued squad in the ACC and tonight presents another great opportunity to back the Demon Deacons. At first glance, when the market looks at Wake's last 10 games it sees a disappointing 2-8 record both straight up and against the spread but a closer look shows this team is playing some good ball against stiff competition. The Deacons have played the 17th toughest schedule in the nation and just went toe-to-toe with #15 Clemson. Wake Forest came out on the wrong end of that 75-67 score and failed to cover as a small dog, but if you watched that game, you know the Demon Deacons went on an improbable 1-10 shooting run to end the game after leading for most of the second half. It doesn't matter who you are, if you go cold like that, you're not going to close out many games.

Miami's appeal in the market has been sweetened by the fact it hit the top-25 in both polls after a 2-0 week that culminated with an 84-75 win at Virginia Tech on Saturday as a five-point pooch. Now the 'Canes are being asked to cover near double-digits. That is a huge swing from one game to the next. This is the second largest price the Hurricanes have been asked to cover at home this season with the -17½ oddsmakers posted in their game with Pittsburgh just over a week ago being the largest. The 'Canes did not cover that number nor did they when they were asked to spot -4½ to Louisville the home game prior. Miami is a plucky underdog, but it cannot be trusted as the chalk. A Wake Forest win is not out of the question, but these inflated points are too good to pass up.
