8:00 PM EST. The Eagles are coming off an 80-72 win over Georgia Tech and before that victory, they took Virginia Tech to overtime, but do not be fooled by those positive recent results. Boston College's 14-9 record is so misleading. At first glance, this team has played the 71st most difficult schedule in the nation, which sounds tough enough, but the only reason the Eagles have played such a slate is a result of the stacked conference they play in. B.C. is just 4-6 in ACC play which means it built the bulk of its resume on the back of a non-conference schedule that ranks 335 out of 351 schools. Notre Dame might be the most disappointing squad in Division I hoops. The Fighting Irish started the season ranked #14 in the nation, and expectations were high, as they returned all but three contributors from last year's squad. Notre Dame figured to find themselves near the top of the ACC standings when the dust settled this season, but the Irish are just 3-7 in-conference and 13-10 overall. Notre Dame is one of those programs the market loves to hate, especially when the chips are down. The Irish are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak, however, we are in the business of buying low, and we are now getting a smoking deal here on the chalk. Notre Dame is battle-tested after playing the 37th toughest schedule in the country. Sure back-to-back double-digit losses to NC State and Duke look really bad on paper, but the Irish have played close games against North Carolina and Louisville recently as well. Notre Dame takes such a huge step down in competition tonight, it's not even funny. This team is being sold so short at home. While all things are not equal, Notre Dame has been favored by -15½, -19½, and -12½ the last three times it's hosted Boston College. With the Eagles stock soaring and the Irish down in the dumps, this call is an easy one. We'll gladly spot this relatively small number, as we expect the Irish to roll.
