2:30 PM EST. The Broncs of Rider are tops in the MAAC with a 9-2 conference record and are 16-7 overall, while Quinnipiac is in the middle of the pack at 6-6 and are just 9-14 on the season. Rider has won five straight in the conference over Monmouth, St. Peters, Marist, Fairfield and St. Peters again. Combined, those three teams are 9-28 in the conference and the Broncs of Rider could have just as easily gone 0-5 in those games, as they won by 7, 4, 3, 2 and 3 points respectively. The Broncs are so fortunate that we’re not discussing them as a 4-7 team in the MAAC as opposed to a 9-2 squad. One of Rider’s conference losses was to Iona by 27 points, which is more proof of just how erratic a first place team they are. The Broncs are one of the most overvalued first place teams in the country and their bubble will burst soon enough.

On the scoresheet and in the standings there might not be a lot for the market to get excited about regarding these Bobcats, which plays right into our philosophies today. Furthermore, a closer look at its schedule shows that Quinny has already dropped a double-digit decision to the Broncs this season but that recent result should only further sour the market on the Bobcats. While Quinnipiac lacks market appeal, the Bobcats bring a trio of double-digit scorers to the table in Cameron Young, Chaise Daniels and Rich Kelly who are averaging 18, 12 and 10 points per game respectively. Quinnipiac has a 9-13 overall record but they have lost four games by two points or less and one game in OT. On paper, it looks like the Broncs would be the prudent play, but this is once again a case of the market being heavily influenced by results and not the ingredients. Quinnipiac is every bit as talented as Rider but this price does not highlight that fact. Instead, Riders first place standing and misleading overall record provides us with this great opportunity. We’ll use the Bobcats in some money line parlays today, but we’ll gladly take these inflated points for this flat wager.
