8:00 PM EST. The Seminoles appear to be back on track after three straight wins including a 103-94 overtime decision over rival Miami at home in Tallahassee on Saturday. That victory capped off a three-game run that also saw Florida State down Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech to bring its conference record to 5-4 and its season mark to 16-5 overall.

The Demon Deacons were supposed to make the leap this season from the ACC's outhouse to the penthouse and join other mainstays like Duke, North Carolina and Florida State, but after seven straight losses, that isn't going to happen this year. Wake Forest won nine conference games last season, which makes its 1-8 record against the ACC even more disappointing. While the Deacs 8-13 record on the year isn't going to put them anywhere near the tournament bubble, it cannot be denied that head coach Danny Manning tried to get his squad ready for March after running them through the wringer. Wake has played the 15th toughest schedule in the nation according to KenPom.

Florida State is on its "revenge tour." After dropping games to Duke, Miami and Louisville to start ACC play, the Seminoles got one back on the 'Canes last time out. FSU will not get another crack at the Dukies, but it will meet the Cardinals on their home court this Saturday in Louisville. A relatively meaningless stop on Tobacco Road might be nothing more than an inconvenience for FSU, but with the Deacons being relegated to the role of spoiler, this could be a dangerous situation to be spotting points. Misery loves company, and Wake Forest has a great opportunity to bring Florida State down to its level even if just for a night. The upset is on the table, which makes taking back these inflated points even more appealing.
