Colorado over Pittsburgh

1:35 PM EST. Simply put, Bailey Falter (RHP - PIT) cannot be favored in this range against another big league lineup, at least not in his current form. He is coming off his worst outing of the season after giving up five runs over five innings to the Athletics on Monday. Falter has just 23 strikeouts to seven walks in 32 innings pitched this season across six starts, and he’s been lucky too, with a Batting Average of Balls in Play of just .200. So, the Pirates' defense has been working hard for him, but when those balls start to drop, the runs are going to pour in.

Meanwhile, Ryan Feltner (RHP - COL) did not factor into the decision Tuesday, but he had arguably his best start of the season, allowing three runs on five hits over eight innings versus the Marlins. Feltner was in command for most of those 8 IP, and he did get a crack at the complete game after starting the ninth. However, after getting the hook, the Rockies bullpen crumbled and allowed the Fish to tie the game. Regardless of the result for Feltner in the win column, he brings some strong under-the-hood numbers here that suggest better days are coming to his bloated surface ERA of 5.13 (his xERA is 3.13). His BABIP is a very unlucky .365, and his strand rate is also on the unlucky side at 66.1%. Feltner’s swing-and-miss rate is reaching elite territory (12%), and he’s got a great chance to pitch deep into this game and potentially send us to the pay window.
