Brady Singer to Record the Win +120

7:40 PM EST. We’re here to attack the lowly White Sox, but the Royals are -185, which makes that proposition impossible, as we would not lay that kind of lumber even if the game was over. However, we have another option in which to target the South Siders, as we can back the Royals starting pitcher, Brady Singer (RHP - KC), on a “Pitcher to Record the Win'' prop wager. Singer is +120 on the “Yes” to win this game, while his counterpart on the White Sox, Erick Fedde, is -425 on the “No”. The point is, if the Royals are going to win today, Singer is likely going to pick up the win.

In his first turn of the season, Singer picked up the win after a seven-inning gem in which he gave up no runs on three hits while striking out 10 and walking only one. Singer was in full control of his arsenal and looked to be in mid-season form throwing 64 of his 98 pitches for strikes. The White Sox are hitting just .193 on the season, and their propensity to fail at the dish should serve us well here, as there is tremendous value in Singer to pick up the win.

Meanwhile, Erick Fedde (RHP - CWS) did not factor into the decision in his first start of the season, as he pitched 4.2 innings, giving up two runs on five hits against the Tigers. While the stat line doesn’t look bad on paper, Fedde needed 96 pitches to get through that turn. Fedde spent 2023 pitching in Korea, and so we’re not going to put much stock into just one start in which he needed nearly 100 pitches to get through less than five innings. The last time Fedde pitched in the bigs, he posted an ERA of 5.81 that was backed up by a nearly equally bloated 5.45 xERA while posting just 94 strikeouts in 127 IP. The White Sox are desperate for pitching, and so they turned to a dude who washed out in his last turn in the majors. If Fedde found his groove in Korea, so be it, we still have a great opportunity to cash this ticket.
