Florida/Edmonton OVER 6½ +100

Amerant Bank Arena – Sunrise, FL

8:00 PM ET. Let’s not pretend we haven’t seen the writing on the wall. These are not two teams feeling each other out anymore — they’re trading haymakers, and it’s only going to get wilder from here. The fact that we're getting a total of 6.5 at even money after the first two games hit 7 and 6 goals respectively — with both featuring extended scoreless stretches — is a gift from the market gods.

The difference between Florida and Edmonton through two games? Microscopic. These are evenly matched, aggressive, skilled, and occasionally reckless squads that have the firepower to make a 2-goal lead disappear before the TV timeout is over — which is exactly what happened in Game 1. These aren’t careful, low-event chess matches. These are pond-hockey bursts of momentum strung together by a few big saves and a lot of goalmouth chaos.

Florida’s been here before. They want to punch first, impose their will, and tilt the ice early. But the Oilers? The most explosive team in the league doesn’t stay down. In both games, Edmonton has erased deficits and poured it on in the final frames. They’ve scored late, they’ve scored shorthanded, and they’ve generated 89 shots through two games — despite getting nothing on the power play. The law of averages says that’s going to change soon.

We haven’t even hit the McDavid/Draisaitl detonation yet, but it’s coming. Draisaitl is already finding the net, and McDavid — with five helpers and endless possession time — is this close to blowing a game open. Meanwhile, Florida’s Marchand is reminding everyone why he’s one of the best postseason performers of his generation. He has three goals in two games and isn’t just scoring — he’s dictating moments.

Both teams’ blue lines are getting involved, both teams are throwing everything at the net, and both teams are getting enough rubber on goal that even strong goaltending can’t hold up forever. The Panthers are averaging 34 shots a night. The Oilers are averaging 44. You can do the math. We’re not asking for a track meet. We’re asking for what we’ve already seen — scoring depth, late-game pushes, overtime potential, and two teams unafraid to take risks. That’s more than enough.

Take advantage of BET365's early MLB payout offer!

For straight bets, if the team you back to win goes 5 runs ahead at any stage during the game, BET365 will pay out your bet in full regardless of whether the opposition comes back to win the game.

For parlays and Same Game Parlays, if a team you have backed goes 5 runs ahead, this selection will be marked as won within My Bets, with the remaining selections left to run.

Here is a wager we were paid out early on that would eventually lose.
