The coach emphasized that his team is starting to buy into a style that can win games, and their hard-fought 2-1 OT loss to a rugged Capitals team was proof. Vancouver didn’t get the result but left with something far more valuable—a blueprint for how they need to play.

Regardless, the Canucks are taking back an inflated price here and that’s worth exploring for a team that’s shown resilience and is due for some good fortune because they’ve been playing some damn good hockey. Carolina is a club that just might be skating on fumes and we’re not going to miss out.
