7:00 PM ET. OT included. The Sabres come into this game with the look of a team that’s rediscovering its identity, while the Senators are struggling to maintain theirs. Buffalo’s season has been a roller coaster, but the recent tweaks to their system by coach Lindy Ruff are paying dividends. Since snapping an ugly 13-game losing streak on Dec. 23, the Sabres are 4-2-1, including a gutsy shootout win against Washington on Monday. Buffalo is playing with renewed confidence, evident in their ability to hold three separate leads against the Capitals, something that was a glaring issue during their slide.

On the other side, Ottawa looks vulnerable. The Senators are returning home after a nine-game road trip and may be susceptible to a letdown. While the Sens are still very much in the playoff mix, their offense has gone ice-cold, managing just 10 goals in their last six games. Beyond the numbers, this is a situational play. The Senators are likely overvalued here as a home favorite after a long road trip and given their recent struggles they cannot be priced in this range in this spot.
